  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese sticks Use good quality; should be stretchy.
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened Creamy consistency, not cold.
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated Adds a savory punch.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced For aromatic flavor.
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen spinach, cooked and drained Squeeze out excess water if using frozen.

Coating

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs Provides a light, crunchy texture.
  • 2 large eggs, beaten Acts as the glue for the breadcrumbs.
  • to taste salt and pepper Essential for flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, toss together the softened cream cheese, mozzarella sticks, drained spinach, grated Parmesan, and minced garlic. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Shape the mixture around each mozzarella stick, ensuring it's evenly covered.
  • Dip the coated sticks into the beaten eggs and then roll them in the panko breadcrumbs.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the sticks on top. Lightly spray with oil.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.

Notes

Serve with marinara sauce or a zesty garlic yogurt dip. For storage, keep in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days; reheat in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes.
