  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Extra virgin olive oil preferred for richer flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Use kosher salt for better flavor distribution.
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Fresh minced garlic can be used as an alternative.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Cayenne can be used if a kick is desired.
  • to taste Fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary) Optional, for garnish.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a bowl, mix olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Coat the chicken breasts thoroughly with the mixture.
  • Place the coated chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment or lightly greased.

Cooking

  • Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F or 75°C).
  • Optionally, sprinkle fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Allow leftovers to cool before storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Can be frozen for up to three months. Reheat in the oven or microwave without overheating to maintain juiciness.
