  • 4 large Eggs Soft scrambled, poached, or fried.
  • 4 slices Cheese (Cheddar or Swiss) Choose based on your flavor preference.
  • 4 slices Cooked ham or bacon Crispy bacon or smoked ham for flavor.

Seasoning and Add-ons

  • 1 pinch Salt To enhance flavor.
  • 1 pinch Pepper To season eggs.
  • 1 tablespoon Butter For toasting the croissants (optional).
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh herbs Chives, parsley, or dill for garnish (optional).

Instructions
 

Preparing the Croissants

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cut the croissants in half horizontally to create pockets for filling.

Cooking the Eggs

  • In a skillet over medium heat, whisk your eggs and cook until set.
  • Season generously with salt and pepper.

Toasting the Croissants

  • In the same skillet, melt butter and lightly toast the cut sides of the croissants.

Assembling the Sandwiches

  • On the bottom half of each croissant, layer slices of cheese, followed by the cooked eggs and your choice of ham or bacon.
  • Cover with the top half of the croissant.

Baking the Sandwiches

  • Place the assembled sandwiches on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for about 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted.

Serving

  • Serve warm and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

These sandwiches store well. Wrap securely and keep in the fridge for about 2 days. Reheat in the oven to maintain flaky texture. For freezing, wrap tightly and they can last up to a month.
