Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts Use fresh or frozen; adjust cooking time if using frozen.
  • 1 1/4 cups BBQ sauce Choose your favorite blend.
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing Adds depth; can be store-bought or homemade.
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce Enhances umami flavor.
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar Optional for extra sweetness.
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder Adds flavor.
  • 1 tbsp onion powder Adds flavor.
  • to taste Salt Enhances flavors.
  • to taste Black pepper Enhances flavors.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Spray the inside of the crockpot with non-stick spray or line it with a liner.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, Italian dressing, Worcestershire sauce, and optional brown sugar.

Cooking

  • Lay the seasoned chicken breasts in the crockpot and pour the sauce over them.
  • Cover and cook on high for 2.5 to 3 hours or low for 5 to 6 hours until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Once cooked, shred the chicken right in the crockpot using two forks.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Freeze leftovers in a zipper bag for up to 3 months.
