  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar Apple cider vinegar is an alternative.
  • 2 green onions, chopped For garnish.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix together the flour, a pinch of salt, and a dash of pepper.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the egg until frothy.
  • Combine breadcrumbs with sesame seeds in another bowl.
  • Dip chicken pieces into the flour mixture, then into the egg, and finally in the breadcrumb-sesame mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  • Fry the chicken pieces in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  • In a separate saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar; bring to a simmer.
  • Toss the fried chicken in the warm sesame sauce until well-coated.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions and serve.

Notes

Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Reheat in a pan to maintain crispiness. For freezing, freeze before coating in sauce.
