  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts The canvas of our dish! Lean and tender.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Panko breadcrumbs give an extra crunch.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Fresher cheese gives better flavor.
  • 1 cup marinara sauce Use a rich and well-seasoned brand.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Whole milk mozzarella for creaminess.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Helps keep the chicken moist.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Infuses aromatic goodness.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Provides an authentic Italian flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Essential for enhancing all flavors.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a medium bowl, combine your breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Drizzle olive oil over each chicken breast, then dip each breast into your breadcrumb mixture.
  • Place the coated chicken breasts in a baking dish.

Cooking

  • Bake for 20 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and spoon marinara sauce over each chicken breast.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Return to the oven for another 10-15 minutes, until the mozzarella is bubbling and golden brown.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with al dente spaghetti tossed in olive oil and garlic, or as a Chicken Parmesan sandwich in a sub roll. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
